| The
Arizona Sexual Assault Network (AzSAN) facilitates a collaborative
statewide network for disciplines and communities who work to identify and address sexual violence issues in our state.
We envision a society free from sexual violence and
function as a collective voice to reduce the incidence and mitigate
the effects of sexual assault in the state of Arizona.
As a statewide collaborative network,
the most significant aspect of our work will be fostering Regional
Leadership Councils across the state. This is an effort to
receive feedback on the needs of those who work directly in
the anti-sexual violence field. We want to involve survivors,
prevention specialists, direct service providers, law enforcement,
the judiciary, advocates, probation, prosecution, offender treatment,
forensic nurse examiners, and any person who has an interest
in addressing sexual assault issues in our state. AzSAN wants
to build a network that is of, by, and for the people who do
this work. With this guidance, our network can develop policy
initiatives and respond to any training or technical assistance
needs that arise.
